WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE?

Circle YES, NO or MAYBE.

The Mr. and I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day in a big way.  We don't believe in exchanging gifts, especially after Christmas and both of our birthdays in January.  We usually just get extra-good cards, and celebrate at home.  In the past that has meant take-out from any number of our favorite places, and sharing a big ole dessert.  Last year my hubby poured milk in wine glasses to have with our chocolate cake.  We're so fancy.

THESE THINGS // THIS WEEK {NO. 11}

Happy Friday, folks.  Have a wonderful weekend!
These are the things I am loving this week.

This flannel from She Inside.  I might have to finally take the leap and place an order after the holidays.
{I can't be shopping for myself right now, when Christmas is around the corner!}
I know I've asked this a few times before, but have any of you ever ordered from there?

I love the way this Timex watch looks just a little bit vintage.

These Peppermint Patty brownies... I mean, do I need to say more?

This retro 50's radio is available in many colors, and MP3 compatible, but it will cost you a pretty penny!

I adore this little Cuddlesome Fox from Anthropologie.
Not going to lie, I sort of want him for myself.

I wish these hooks from Pottery Barn weren't quite so pricey...

These Embossed Copper Moscow Mule Mugs are on the Mr. and my wishlist for sure.

One of my favorite style pins this week... original source here.
And she's wearing a pom pom beanie!

I'm loving these metal tipped heels via Free People.

Nine West has some cool tees {and boots, and bags} in their Vintage America Collection.

This made me smile.
May you have such a fabulous weekend that you don't even care when Monday rears its head.

>>> I don't normally post on weekends, but tomorrow Broadway+Thresher will be sharing a blog I did for them!
There will be a link from L+R, so hopefully you'll stop by tomorrow!

THESE THINGS // THIS WEEK {NO. 9}

Happy Friday, folks.  Have a wonderful weekend!
These are the things I am loving this week.

I heart this sweater from She Inside.  In fact, most of the sweaters I am loving are from She Inside.
Have any of you ever ordered from them?  I'm a little nervous to do so...

I also adore this sweater from Vince, that I found via blissful blog.  I just wish it wasn't so darn expensive.

I saw this pillow on sale at Target, but decided to wait.
Now I'm kicking myself, because when I went back for it - it was sold out.

It would be amazing to stumble upon a find like this cabinet at a flea market or antique store...

My favorite style pin on Pinterest this week.  I would wear a version of this every day if I could.

I don't typically buy colored shoes, but these green suede boots would work as a neutral.
I might need them in my life.

I wish I was eating this pumpkin breakfast sandwich right now.
How cool is this hoodie with leather sleeves.  I'm coveting it big time.
I have to be able to DIY this, right?!

This flask is all sorts of fabulous. And it's on sale right now at Urban!
I have a bit of a lipgloss addiction.  There is a strong possibility I have a leather pouch in my bag {packed so full I almost can't zip it shut} filled with just lipsticks and glosses.  This set has a $79 value, with $25 price tag!  What a perfect gift.  {hint, hint... Mr. Martin}

And I leave you with this.  Because, well... it's adorable and I love cats.

ZARA HOME

If you follow L+R you know I'm a big Zara fan.  My love goes way back before it was available online.  I used to look for Zara items on Ebay.  Imagine that.  It's like life without cell phones.

Well... now Zara Home has launched online, too!  I'm not sure many of the pieces would work in our home, but that doesn't mean I don't think the items are fabulous for someone else!  How cool is the skull cutlery?  And I love the cable throw.

ABJ GLASSWORKS

If you read Design Sponge, you've already been introduced to ABJ Glassworks
If you don't read Design Sponge, then this post is for you {AND you should read Design Sponge}.

ABJ Glassworks is a line of whimsical and modern stained glass pieces, made by Ashley Bram-Johnson in Philadelphia.
You can read more of her story here via her Etsy store.

I am pining for that little copper ring holder above.
You can even order one etched with an arrow {my logo!} which means I need it, right?
And check out this little box below... store your little keepsakes away from nosy paws.
{Bailey woke us up in the middle of the night by playing with the jewelry on top of my dresser.}

If you follow me on Pinterest you already know about my love {aka: obsession} for terrariums.
Awhile back I attempted to make my own, and took pictures to write a post about DIY terrariums -
but those photos never made it to my blog because my terrarium was just... so... bad.
I bet it'd be hard to mess one up if you used one of Ashley's beautiful containers below.

DRINK IT UP AND SAVE THE BOTTLE

I've been saving green wine bottles, but have no idea why. I just decided I liked the green glass and was going to use them for something {hoarding?}. I don't know why I thought you needed proof, but here is the photographic evidence.

I suppose I was thinking of using them for vases or something, but now I have a new plan! Wait for it...

A few weeks ago when I was at Amy's house {more here}, she had these beautiful recycled wine bottle tumblers. It was love at first sight. She bought hers at a fabulous store {Enjoy Co} in Granville, but I told her how I'd be saving bottles and she recommended taking them to a glass shop to have them cut. Brilliant!

Since then I've searched out my options - just to make sure. There are a lot of DIY tutorials out there, but you have to buy a glass cutter and quite frankly I'm a bit accident prone. I could just purchase them... there are Etsy stores and shops aplenty; however, after finding this post {she said they only charged her $3.50 per glass to cut them!} I think the glass shop route is where it's at. Not only is it the cheapest option, but then I get to use those bottles I've hoarded. Now we're talking.

{Bottlehood - about $40 for 4}

Just a little note: I soak the bottles in a pot of hot soapy water, usually over night. If there is any residue left - Goo Gone is a miracle product.

PRINT ON IT

{Mustache = must dash... just in case you haven't had your coffee yet. Totes // Pamela Fugate Designs}

 {Oh, Little Rabbit // eco friendly wears made in Oregon}

Lately I have a new mini obsession with screen printed items... totes, tea towels, napkins, and so on. In the last six months I have purchased this tote from Fieldguided, these pillowcases from Kin Ship Press, and a few other little items here and there. I like supporting small shops, and artists... and I love the clean look of the organic cottons and linen.

I imagine myself with that carrot printed tote, headed to the farmers market for fresh produce and flowers. And aren't these tattooed lady napkins just so fun?!

A ROUND OF APPLAUSE

I have always liked select pieces in the Urban Outfitters Apartment Section, but lately I want most of it.
They are just getting it so right.
Spot on.
Below is my current wish list...
and I know where each piece would go.

 swing curtain rod // adjustable lamp // triangle area rug // magazine rack {I would use for mail!}

THESE THINGS // THIS WEEK {No. 6}

Happy Friday, folks!
These are just a few things I came across this week through the eyes of my laptop.

 One of my favorite bloggers, Katie of Katie's Pencil Box, {along with her husband}
was featured on Amanda Jane Jones' blog series My Better Half.

 I'm loving the organic feel of these ceramic branch vases from Anthropologie.

I always look forward to posts from Jennifer Prince of Odessa May Society
and now that she is expecting - her posts often involve the cutest baby items!
These rocking sheep by Danish Crafts are so funny and charming.

You must check out the animal love tumblr series by Diana Moss of Miss Moss.

Backyard Bill is one of the first blogs I started reading, years ago before I even really knew what blogs were.
I sometimes forget about it, and then enjoy checking in on what he is up to.
This photography series on Chris Grodski and Lindsay Carver of Stanley & Sons is beautiful.

Ok. So have you heard all of the hype about B.B. cream?
I have been looking for something to use this summer {and days off work} that wasn't all the steps of foundation, concealer, etc.
I recently read this article on Refinery 29, and this cream seemed like it might be the answer.
I was a bit skeptical of the Garnier version {considering they make hair products} but since it was the cheapest option
I figured - why not. I used it for two days and started breaking out pretty bad.
It did make my skin have that dewey glow and gave good coverage, but I also felt like my skin got greasy much faster.
Some people say your skin just takes awhile to adjust to new products,
so do I keep plugging away?

Have a wonderful weekend, friends!
It's Com Fest weekend in Columbus, so I will be spending the afternoon channeling my inner hippie, listening to music,
eating bad for me food, and possibly drinking a beer {or two} from a giant plastic cup.
