MADEWELL SPRING 2013

Have you seen Madewell's Spring 2013 Lookbook yet?  I think it's a little bit different for them, but not in a bad way!  Lots of indigo, khaki, white and leather accents.  The color they do show is a bit muted and candy colored, like the marshmallows in Lucky Charms cereal (yes, I still eat that).  My favorite looks are the top two (#4 and #10), and I would kill for the dresses in #13 and #22.  Well, not really "kill"... but I sure do like them!

BRAND LOVE: HELLO

Via their website, "Hello Merch is an independent company started in 2008 by Sam Means as an outlet for artists to manufacture and sell merchandise online and on tour, without giving up their rights by signing major label-style merch contracts."

Hello Merch also has their own line of shirts - Hello Apparel (shown here).  These tees and sweatshirts are extremely popular right now with bloggers and readers, and are blowing up on social media (check out their instagram!).  Click here to see all of the shirts they carry, and here to see the rest of their own line.  

I have been wanting the "I'M SO TIRED" tee, but after they just released the below styles - I think I might have to do the crossed arrows instead (since it's my logo!).  I also love the baseball stripe tee just below.

ZARA: TRF

Zara's TRF collection is just. so. good.  

I feel like Zara can do no wrong.

TRF (Trafuluc) is like the casual litter sister to the more sophisticated main line.

And as always - certain pieces are selling out quickly.

I'm not really an impulse buyer.  I actually don't like shopping in stores because I get overwhelmed, can't decide, and end up leaving with nothing.  I'm an online shopper... I need time to think about my purchases and make decisions.  However, after missing out on items from Zara numerous times before (remember those leopard sandals?) this time I got a jump on it, and ordered a few of these pieces.  SO not me to do that, and I was actually quite proud of myself.  Yep, proud of myself for shopping.  

YOUNG FRANKK

Young Frankk is a jewelry line that was launched in 2011 by Christine Young, an illustration artist turned jewelry designer.  It is getting a lot of love from bloggers right now, which is how I found it!  I adore the minimal, yet statement making, shapes.  I am really coveting a few of the pieces... especially the cuff above.  

LINE LOVE... RAQUEL ALLEGRA

Raquel Allegra is a Los Angeles based designer.  I love how unstructured and easy her pieces are.   It took most of my 20s {and many unworn items in my closet} for me to learn I won't even wear something if it isn't comfortable.  If it's so comfy I feel like I'm wearing my pajamas, I'm more likely to purchase it.  And I definitely think these items fit the bill.  I'm really loving the black dress, third image from the top.  So chic and effortless... and you know - comfortable.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!  We finally tried the famous food truck - Ray Ray's Hog Pit {oh-so yummy!}, went to the Ohio State game {what a win we pulled out!}, and had a lazy Sunday cooking {he made his famous chili + I made oatmeal cookies}, and watching the Browns game.  It was a good one.

FALL CAMPING WITH CAMP BRAND

Once upon a time, my sister was trying to help me think of a unique Halloween costume {I've had some doosies} and she suggested being a "happy camper".  She said to wear flannel and boots, carry a knapsack, and make a big smiley face on a stick to hold in front of my face.  Pretty good, huh?  You can steal it.  So... when I saw the below "happy camper" tee on Pinterest, I got really excited.  It's just something our family has always said.  In my family, if you're in a bad mood - you're "not a happy camper".  

The brand of the tee?  Camp Brand.  I'm obsessed!  I'm really coveting one of the buffalo tees, too.   Don't they just look so soft and comfy?  A lot of them are currently sold out, but a little birdie {ok, they told me} they'll be restocking at the end of October.

Looking at their website just made me want to go camping - right now.  Do you guys like to camp?  I remember going a few times when I was little, and definitely remember chickening out and sleeping in the car at least once.  The Mr. and I have stayed in a little cabin at Hocking Hills a few times, but I'm ready to give honest-to-goodness camping another shot.  Fall camping... yes, please.

LINE LUST - EMERSON FRY

Emerson Fry... I wish I could remember who first told me about her {if you were the one and you're thinking, "me! me! It was me! - please remind me}.  It was awhile back.  Back when she was still "Emerson Made" and during her Etsy shop days.  It's amazing - what this gal does, and where she is now.  Her line is practically perfect in every way, just like Mary Poppins.

You've seen that bottom right coat before here, but let's face it - it's worth posting twice.

NICOLE RICHIE DOES MACY'S

Nicole Richie's line for Macy's launched today.  I have a few pieces of her designer line, Winter Kate {pieces I found on mega sale - a dress and peasant top}.  I definitely think the Macy's line has the same feel as her main line, only much more affordable.  It's that same mix of bohemian, rock-n-roll, and modern.  There is a dress I have my eyes on ordered for our friends' upcoming wedding reception... and at that price I'm not sure I can pass it up , I don't even feel guilty.

STELLA & DOT

A few of my favorite pieces of jewelry are Stella & Dot.  I was introduced to the line a few years ago, and even hosted a party once upon a time.  My friend, Elizabeth, is to thank for rekindling my romance with Stella & Dot.  Below are just a few of my favorite pieces {including three of Elizabeth's}.  I think my first purchase has to be the arrow necklace {and the snake bracelet}.  Do you have any Stella & Dot jewelry?  What are your favorites?

HONEY ROSE & K

Meredith Piccin is the owner and designer behind Honey Rose & K Modage Baubles {and I'm also lucky enough to call her a friend}. 

A little snippet about how HR&K came to be - After following a career path that included visual merchandising and wardrobe consulting, Meredith realized her true passions: vintage finds and design. She combined the two to create Honey Rose & K. Meredith scours flea markets, antique stores, and thrift stores for hidden gems. She then repurposes and redesigns them to be modern pieces with a vintage + whimsical twist. Meredith also sews vintage scarves together to create these beautiful infinity scarves below.

I have a serious obsession with jewelry, vintage, and well... vintage jewelry. So Hr&K is right up my alley. Honey Rose & K is named after Meredith's Grandmother, Honey, who studied fashion design and worked for years as a window dresser in NYC.

This week I made a visit to Meredith's home to take the above photos. Can you tell I liked that blue + green tassel necklace? Meredith could tell, and she very generously gifted it to me! Thank you, M!

Meredith and her hubby {and their two beautiful children} are in the midst of a home renovation right now, but when it's done I will be sharing photos of their home and Meredith's new studio. I can't wait. You can't wait! Trust me... her home is full of wonderful finds. It is curated with that same eye that scours for vintage jewelry, and has that same mix of vintage + modern.
